Hello from LACELLIC Global.
Today, alongside news of Seo Jeong-hee’s visit to LACELLIC, we introduce the NK immune-cell treatment story she shared in her own words and LACELLIC’s Evo-NK platform.
“The NK immune-cell treatment I am receiving these days.”
In a post she wrote, Seo Jeong-hee shared that she is continuing NK immune-cell treatment. She also expressed her intention to move forward one step at a time, at her body’s own pace, and her gratitude to those working to support her care.
How can we understand NK cells and LACELLIC Evo-NK?
What are NK cells?
NK stands for Natural Killer. NK cells are a type of white blood cell involved in immune defense and can attack tumor cells and cells infected with viruses.
NK cells are immune cells naturally present in the body. Evo-NK is an NK-cell platform that combines research on these cells with LACELLIC’s platform technologies.
LACELLIC introduces Evo-NK as a platform incorporating core technologies including cell activation, immune-cell target recognition, BBB Shuttle and LAT.
About LACELLIC Evo-NK
Four core elements of the LACELLIC Evo-NK platform
LACELLIC’s Evo-NK introduction presents four perspectives: cell activity, target recognition, delivery and persistence. The following is a technical introduction to the platform as a whole.
1. Cell Activation — cell activation technology
This technology focuses on cell function and activation state. LACELLIC describes its proprietary activation technology as an approach designed to enhance cell function and support activity within the body’s environment.
2. Immune-cell target recognition technology
This technology addresses how immune cells recognize and respond to targets. LACELLIC introduces it as a platform that considers recognition of and responses to abnormal cells.
A starting point for understanding these two technologies is to consider not only the number of cells, but also their state and what they respond to.

3. BBB Shuttle Platform — delivery related to the blood–brain barrier
The blood–brain barrier (BBB) is a protective system that helps prevent harmful substances from reaching the brain. It also affects the delivery of some medicines.
LACELLIC introduces BBB Shuttle Platform as a delivery approach that takes this barrier into account.
4. LAT — a sustained activation platform
LAT stands for Long Acting Technology. LACELLIC presents it as a technology focused on maintaining the activated cell state and the persistence of cellular responses.
The platform is designed with consideration for how activated cells might continue to function.

“Dual NK activation” mentioned in Seo Jeong-hee’s post
Her post also introduced the concept of “dual NK activation”: using NK cells prepared outside the body while also considering activation of NK cells already inside the body.
This approach considers both externally prepared cells and cells present in the body. Together with the platform introduction above, it offers context for understanding the direction of Evo-NK.
Specific treatment methods, eligibility, possible benefits and precautions should be discussed with the treating medical team, based on the individual’s condition and the evidence for the treatment.
One step at a time, at my body’s own pace
Seo Jeong-hee shared the following words in her post:
“Good health is not achieved overnight, so I want to cherish even today’s small changes and move forward one step at a time, at my body’s own pace.”
Her words convey a commitment to her journey toward health and gratitude to the people working alongside her.
We thank Seo Jeong-hee for visiting LACELLIC and sharing her thoughtful words. We wish her wellbeing in everyday life and in her future activities.
